POLAND IN KENYA
In April 2018 Polish Humanitarian Action started their work in south-western Kenya in Machakos, Makueni and Kitui counties. To ensure a holistic approach, the projects touched upon water accessibility, hygiene promotion, mitigating and adapting to climate changes, agriculture entrepreneurship, and production growth. This project was implemented together with local partner Africa Sand Dam Foundation.
Since 2014, Polish foreign aid in collaboration with the Chief Fire Officers Association (CFOA) has been comprehensively supporting Kenyan fire brigade personnel both in form of know-how, theoretical and practical trainings and supply of equipment. Starting from 2021, the Center is going to be run independently by Kenyan trainers prepared to their role by Polish instructors originating from the Polish State Fire Service. Thanks to that, Kenyans will continue to develop their public service independently from foreign help.
