Slide The GIZ Good Governance programme has trained 205 public officers from 180 public institutions to strengthen their capacity to handle citizens’ complaints. In addition, a total of 2,482 citizens were trained to use existing complaints mechanisms. The programme works at the national level with institutions to enhance and ensure compliance with corruption-resistant public administration structures, accurate audit, investigation and timely adjudication of corruption cases. Slide SOLINC, a solar panel factory that first opened in Nakuru County, Kenya is the first of its kind in East Africa, and now supplies the entire continent with solar installations.

Slide In response to the Covid-19 crisis, the EU and its Member States, as well as the EIB have provided support to Kenya in the form of financial package to support livelihoods, small cash grants to the most vulnerable and equitable access to PPE for frontline workers. In march 2021 Kenya received its first vaccine batch (1 million doses).
